HORSE-RIDING
One or several day rides take you through a 200 km horse-riding network. For novices, trail, western, dressage, jumping or military-style riders.
In the region of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee riders get to gallop around in a unique, slightly hilly low mountain range location for kilometres, or they can ride up and down the mountains. A canter into the valley or a trail ride on the higher lying, mountain routes (800 to 1800 m), which offer plenty of views, horse enthusiasts get to experience the beauty of trail riding with all their senses. Three trail routes on the well-known "Dachstein-Tauern-Ritt" are very close by.
Three stables in Altenmarkt guarantee you will enjoy an unforgettable riding experience during lessons, or free riding, right in the stables and away from the tarmac roads. Novice riders and also leisure, trail, Western, dressage, jumping and military riders, children and adults – everyone will find what they have been dreaming of.
A special attraction is the chance to try therapeutic riding, at vaulting. Or let your horse have a break and just bring it with you!
