Family winter in Zauchensee

The Zauchensee-Flachauwinkel ski area is connected to the Ski amadé region of the Salzburg Sports World. The home ski area of downhill world champion and World Cup winner Michael Walchhofer boasts very good snow conditions in winter: Natural snow falls plentifully in Zauchensee thanks to its altitude (1,350 m) and its northern exposure.

Together with the expansion of technical snowmaking, Zauchensee enjoys very good slope conditions from December through April. With the Seekarsee reservoir lake, the ski area has a powerful basis for snowmaking. You can find current snow depths as well as information on open slopes and lifts in the official snow report for Altenmarkt-Zauchensee.

For beginners and experienced winter sports enthusiasts, 210 connected kilometers of slopes are available across 12 peaks and 5 valleys.
